I love making bags and I have always enjoyed making interesting and challenging designs. I can design them myself but have also tried to advertise my idea of the customer designing the bag. When I was in secondary school I was able to get this idea selling and now I want to start this idea back up again though this site. This idea also goes with my cushions. I can either make a cushion with my own design or I can take you design and transform it into the real item. I recently got married and for the wedding I made many of the items and organised most things. Some of the things I made were the boxes for the favours, as well as the table plan, which was on two black dinner trays and had a small plate per table. I enjoy working on anything thing to do with costume, however the making and working backstage are the two key areas that I love the most. I have experience in many areas of costume, and I feel that having my experience boosts my understanding, skills and confidence when working in the costume field. I have done different types of work experience that I have enjoyed, I have spend three days at London's Phantom of the Opera working in the wardrobe as well as following a dresser round a costume plot during a performance. Spending days here showed me this was where I wanted to be. I did more work experience like this at the Edinburgh Festival with the Theatre Company Gecko. I spent three weeks with this company working as the only wardrobe worker. I was the dresser, I had to fix costumes, wash them, place costumes in their starting places and I had to source replacement costumes. I have also done work experience in a wardrobe in Pitlochry Festival Theatre for a week. They give me small sewing jobs that needed to be done, while they did their bigger jobs. In college and secondary school I took part in the costume making and working backstage. This was where I began to realise I enjoyed and wanted to be in the field of costume. In Northbrook College I learnt how to make patterns, budgeting, running a wardrobe team, working with directors and performers. I developed my skills in designing, making, tailoring and communication to others to do with costume. For each show I was apart of, I was a busy dresser. I am a hard working and enthusiastic individual capable of working alone or as part of a team. I take on any role I am given and will perform to the best of my ability to complete the goal on time and to a high standard. I will complete any task I'm given with a professional attitude and to deadline.
