A grey top, now with a splash of colour

I had this grey top for a little while and it's ok, but as you might be being to realise is I like colour. Little splashes of it. I was going to do a full length video of it, but I had a couple of problems with the filming so I have a small video of some of the making but only a little bit.

I'll do a normal blog as always, with a couple of photos and the small vid.

I brought this red cord which has felt hearts and beads, I brought it from ebay.

If none of the links work here is the web address; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321065216104?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984. m1439.l2649

The top I brought was from George (Asda).

To sew on the cord there are two ways, the first is to sew it by machine or by hand. Because the cord is a bit squiffy I decided to use my machine.

To do this I used ZigZag Stitch at the settings: width 1.5 - 2; length 2. I used red thread because unless you want the stitch as a decoration, you go by the colour of whatever goes on top.

This link is a video; I tried to add the video to the page but it didn't work so here is the link; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7u2cctwzyBw&feature=youtu.be .

This video is an example of what to do to sew this cord on this top. At each each bead and heart area, I go back, forwards, back. I then move the foot over the heart and beads and stitch forwards, back, forwards and repeat.

Once all sewn and, using a pin I pulled the loose thread from the front to the back. I tied a knot with each set of loose ends.

I forgot to add if anyone would like to know how to make the cord roughly let me know in the comments and I'll make a video.

The finished item.

The grey color is also very unique to wear not only for the ladies as well like by the men in the selection of the dresses. You have designed the grey top with red bordering around the neck side of the shirt that is amazing contrast.
