Painting shoes

I don't know if this has happened to you but this happens to me a lot. When I want something in a shop they don't have it in stock. I went into Primark yesterday to look for suitable shoes for invigilating at Bulmershe Shoe, when I last did it my shoes were a little loud on certain floors. Anyway, I just wanted a pair of plain black pumps, the only sizes I found was 4 and 5s. I'm size 7/8 so I was not happy. But I had a look round the shop and found pumps with a really thick white sole. They were perfect except for the white sole. But I had a plan...

This is one of the shoes

Using there items, my plan was to paint the white strip navy, with some glitter. To the paint mix I added craft glue and acrylic paint. If I had liquid latex I would mix that into the paint mix instead of glue.

This is what it looks like painted, the paint must be wet when adding the glitter.

The glitter I used was just eye power. I just sprinkled it on letting it gather in places.

This is the other shoes finished.

One thing I will suggest if you do this yourself, I haven't tested these with water, so watch out for rain and puddles unless you test it first.

Customizing or painting your shoes is a great way to show you passion with art as well as shoes. You can also use painting to get the shoes with desired design you need for fit with your outfits.
